2014-2015 Girl Board Members

Each year outstanding girl leaders are identified to serve as girl board members for the council’s board of directors.  Applications are currently being accepted from girls who are currently registered Girl Scouts in our council and in the 9th-11th grade.

Board members participate in developing strategic direction and goals for the council and understand and support the council mission, policy and basic philosophy of the Girl Scout Movement.  The board meets about six times a year (meeting dates are outlined on application).  Girls selected to serve in this capacity have the opportunity to develop leadership qualities and skills while discovering the impact they can have as a leader!  Girls must commit to actively participating in all board meetings and girl board projects.  Application deadline is November 26, 2013.

IT2 Girl Advisory Team

Are you interested in representing Girl Scouting in your community, council, and nationally? Do you want to lead Girl Scouts in the right direction? Then the IT2 Girl Advisory Team is for you! The IT2 Girl Advisory Team – Inspire Today, Inspire Tomorrow- provides girls, in all areas of our council, an opportunity to share their voice. Members of the advisory team give input on Girl Scouting and girl issues at large, council programming and publications and represent the council at meetings and conferences.

If you are a registered Girl Scout between the ages of 14 and 18, you may apply to become a part of the team. You can either download an application or you can fill out the online application. Applications are due December 14, 2012 and the selection process will take place in January.
