What makes popcorn pop? What are 3 different types of heat? What senses can we use to investigate? All those questions and more answered at this annual event.
Join your Girl Scout sisters for a fun event where we will taste science, sing, dance, share stories of popcorn in history and more.

Please note this is a food science event and products may contain egg, soy, dairy and nuts. Be aware for those with allergies.

 

Please wear your vest or sash, bring a filled re-usable water bottle to drink, and a TP105. Adults should be limited to only meet Safety Activity Ratios to ensure maximum space for Girl Scout attendees.

There is additional parking in the back of the building and you can enter using the door with the black canopy showing the GS logo.


Grade Levels:  Daisy - Ambassador, Adult

 

Fees:  $5 per Girl Scout / $0 per adult   

 

Location: Wilmington Service Center, Wilmington, NC

 

Registration: May 1, 2026 - June 11, 2026

 

 

Cancellation Policy


For cancellations received by June 1, 2026, we will refund to original method of payment minus $3 cancellation fee.

 

For cancellations received between June 11, 2026 and June 20, 2026, we will refund to original method of payment minus $5 cancellation fee.

 

In case of illness or family emergency, cancellations received by June 30, 2026  will be refunded to original method of payment minus cancellation fees and costs as applicable.
