Event Description: Gain confidence and comfort outdoors through learning some of the most important survival skills! This course teaches you how to build primitive shelters in the woods. No experience is necessary. All materials are included. Please bring a water bottle and wear closed toed shoes.
Grade Levels: Junior - Cadette, GSNCCP Members Only

Registration: August 10, 2026 - September 22, 2026
Adult Supervision: Individual girls attending events must have an adult registered to attend the event with them. If 3 or more girls from the same troop are attending an event, then it is considered a troop event and the number of adults registered to attend should meet the safety ratio in Safety Activity Checkpoints. Any adult attending an overnight event must be a registered Girl Scout member with a completed background check on file.
Event Confirmation Packet/Details: All the details that you need to attend this event can be found in the event confirmation packet. Once it is finalized, you will see it when you go to the My Events page of your My GS account and select the event from the list. All registered participants will also receive a copy via email closer to the event date and after registration closes for the event. Please review the packet at least several days prior to the event so you will have time to adequately prepare for the event and to ask questions, if needed.
Cancellation Policy
- For cancellations received by September 19, 2026, we will refund to original method of payment.
- For cancellations received between September 20, 2026 and October 3, 2026, there will be a $12 cancellation fee.
- In case of illness or family emergency, cancellations received by October 14, 2026, will be refunded to original method of payment minus cancellation fees and costs as applicable.
