Event Description: Once you've completed the Gold Award Orientation, dive into the Gold Award process at a Girl Scout Gold Award Workshop. Each workshop is facilitated by a Gold Award committee member or GS-NCCP staff member and designed to provide a hands-on experience for Girl Scouts who are going Gold. We'll recap the steps of the Gold Award process you learned about in the Gold Award Orientation and then work through sample community issues to help you understand what makes a Gold Award Take Action Project different from community service. We'll pay particular attention to planning a leadership role, creating and ensuring sustainability, understanding the national/global link of a project, and tracking measurability - since all are critically important to your project. Bring all your questions!
