Event Description:  
This course meets council requirement for adult volunteers to serve as a Level 2 First Aider and is open to all registered adults who currently hold an American Red Cross, American Heart Association or National Safety Council Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED Certification. WRFA provides individuals with a foundation of first aid principles and skills in order to respond to emergencies and give care in areas 30 minutes or more away from local emergency medical services (EMS) response. This includes wilderness and remote environments, including urban disasters, such as earthquakes and hurricanes.

Fees: GSNCCP Member $32 

 

Registration:  February 20, 2025 - October 9, 2025

 

Please note TWO course prerequisites:

* Must be a registered Girl Scout member with a current background check
* Possess current adult CPR/AED certification

 

This class is available to currently registered adults with an eligible background check.



Please be certain to read the attached course confirmation packet that contains critical information on next steps and what to bring.

 

The Wilderness and Remote First Aid Emergency reference guide and pocket guide is included in fee.

 

Member is responsible for bringing their own meals/snacks. 

 

Dietary restrictions may be indicated below; however, please note that allergens may still be on the premises.

 

Event Confirmation Packet/Details:  All the details that you need to attend this event can be found in the event confirmation packet.  Once it is finalized, you will see it when you go to the My Events page of your My GS account and select the event from the list.  All registered participants will also receive a copy via email closer to the event date and after registration closes for the event.  Please review the packet at least several days prior to the event so you will have time to adequately prepare for the event and to ask questions, if needed. 

 

 

Cancellation Policy

  • For cancellations received by October 2, 2025, we will refund to original method of payment.
  • For cancellations received between October 3, 2025 and October 16, 2025, we will refund to original method of payment minus $15 cancellation fee.
  • In case of illness or family emergency, cancellations received by October 27, 2024 will be refunded to original method of payment minus cancellation fees and costs as applicable.
  • Please send all cancellation requests to helpdesk@nccoastalpines.org.  Requests will be processed based on the date received.
