This course is available to all registered adult members with an eligible background check who are interested in obtaining or recertifying an Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Participants who successfully pass this course will be certified by the American Red Cross for two years.

 

Please bring the following to your session: towel and/or yoga mat, water bottle, and "proceed to skills session" certification. During the skills testing session, you will be asked to practice and demonstrate skills by working with manikins while being on the floor. If you have difficulty working on the floor, please let your instructor know at the beginning of the course. The online session will take at least 2.5 hours to complete and may take longer depending on your connectivity and computer speed. Please plan accordingly when taking the online portion.  You must provide evidence of your "proceed to skill session" certification to the class instructor. Please bring a copy of your "proceed to skill session" certification to the class, email a copy to your instructor prior to the start of the skills session or be prepared to show a copy of your certification on your cell phone prior to the start of class. If you are unable to complete the online portion of the course prior to class you  are registered for, please contact Customer Care to reschedule your in-person course.  You MUST complete the online portion prior to the in-person session.

Event Confirmation Packet/Details:  All the details that you need to attend this event can be found in the event confirmation packet.  Once it is finalized, you will see it when you go to the My Events page of your My GS account and select the event from the list.  All registered participants will also receive a copy via email closer to the event date and after registration closes for the event.  Please review the packet at least several days prior to the event so you will have time to adequately prepare for the event and to ask questions, if needed.

 

Cancellation Policy

  • For cancellations received by August 8, 2025, we will refund to original method of payment.
  • In case of illness or family emergency, cancellations received by September 2, 2025 will be refunded to original method of payment minus cancellation fees and costs as applicable.
  • There is no refund available for no-shows.
  • Please send all cancellation requests to helpdesk@nccoastalpines.org.  Requests will be processed based on the date received.
