Cary Girl Scout Receives 2016 National Young Women of Distinction Award

Girls Can Impact Their Community

Congratulations to Sadhana A., for being selected for the 2016 National Young Women of Distinction Award! This award is given to only ten recipients whose projects demonstrate extraordinary leadership, had a measurable and sustainable impact, and addressed a local challenge related to a national and/or global issue. Sadhana’s Gold Award project helped pre-teens learn about tests used to identify diseases such as Ebola, by creating a science lab. Her project is now a permanent exhibit at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh.
