Outdoor Planning & Overnight - Wake 3-6-14

Troops who participate in camping activities are required to have an Outdoor skills certified adult.

Outdoor skills is offered in 2 parts - a planning session AND an overnight component where adults will learn how to prepare and implement a successful Girl Scout camping trip! Troop leaders may recruit parents/helpers to take this course and serve as the outdoor-trained adult.   Both the planning session and overnight weekend must be completed by the same individual.

Outdoor-trained volunteers must be registered members & have successfully completed a criminal background check through the council. Both of these items need to be completed prior to registering for training.

Volunteer essentials is highly recommended for non-leaders prior to the outdoor skills class.

Planning session is March 6, 2014 7:00 pm at the Raleigh Service Center - Commons Room

Overnight:  Jordan Lake , 9:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22  through 12:00 noon Sunday, March 23, 2014.
