Outdoor Planning & Overnight - Wake 10/5-6/13

Troops who participate in camping activities are required to have an Outdoor skills certified adult.

Outdoor skills is  offered in 2 parts - a planning session AND an overnight component where adults will learn how to prepare and implement a successful Girl Scout camping trip!  Troop leaders may recruit parents/helpers to take this course and serve as the outdoor-trained adult. 

Outdoor-trained volunteers must be registered members & have successfully completed a criminal background check through the council. Both of these items need to be completed prior to registering for training.

Volunteer essentials is highly recommended for non-leaders prior to the outdoor skills class.

Planning session is September 23, 2013   7-10 pm at the Raleigh Service Center - Commons Room.

Overnight weekend is 9 am Sat October 5, 2013 through 12 noon Sun October 6, 2013 at Jordan Lake.
