This course will train instructor candidates to teach basic-level American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED courses. In order to participate in this course, you must possess a current basic-level American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED (or higher level) certification or equivalent. Upon registration, it is important you use the same email address used when you completed your base level FA/CPR/AED certification with the American Red Cross learning center. Using the correct email address will confirm that the prerequisite for the course is valid.
Training will take place at the Raleigh Service Center. Please bring
your own snacks, lunch and beverages/water bottles.
Also bring a
USB Thumb drive to hold digital files.
Participants must complete an online session prior to
attending the in-person session. During the in-person
session, participants will participate in a skills practice and polish
session. You are expected to perform all the skills near standard and
can correct quickly to standard prior to continuing in the course.

This is a blended learning course consisting of online content, a skills session and classroom segments. Online material must be completed prior to attending the classroom activities. For more information, please reference the attachment you will receive via e-mail when you register for this course.
Cancellation Policy:
For cancellations received by February 13, 2026, we will refund to the original method of payment.
There is no refund available for no-shows.
For cancellations received February 14, 2026 and after, there is no refund available.
In case of illness or family emergency, cancellations received by March 10, 2026 will be refunded to the original method of payment minus cancellation fees and costs as applicable.
