Please read the entire left-hand column for important details BEFORE selecting the number of teens to register in the right-hand column.

This class is available to currently registered teens. Girl participants must be at least 11 years old at the time of the session and have a unique email address on their profile in My GS.  It cannot be the same email address on the profile of the primary guardian.   Please contact the Help Desk at 1-800-284-4475 if you need assistance in updating the email address for your girl participant. Please bring a towel or mat.

This course is for Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors.  Juniors who may be 11 years old are not eligible.

During the instructor-led portion, participants will participate in “watch-then-practice” and hands-on training. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to recognize emergencies, care for injuries or illnesses, and perform CPR until professional help arrives. Your electronic certificate will be emailed to you by the American Red Cross within 2 weeks after the successful completion of the instructor-led portion of this class.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, all participants are required to view the Volunteer and Member Self-Screening Checklist prior to the start of class. All participants will be required to be six feet apart and wear a mask during the in-person skills session. Please also keep in mind that no food or drink will be allowed to be consumed in class. We ask that participants momentarily step out of the room to consume any food or drink. Other classroom precautions will be taken.

At the conclusion of the course, Cadettes and Seniors may stay until 5:00 p.m. to complete requirements for the First Aid Badge.  Requirements include what makes Wilderness First Aid different and splinting techniques.
Those staying should download the Red Cross First Aid app to their smart phones.
