Johnston County Girl Scouts Create Anti-Bullying PSA

Girls Scouts build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place and that is exactly what Girl Scout Troop #1397 from Johnston County showcased when they created an Anti-Bullying PSA.

As victims of various bullying attempts themselves, the girls wanted to generate awareness and show leadership by creating a 30 second anti-bulling PSA and present in  front of their classmates during their school's weekly meeting. The girls hope their project makes an impact on children and adults by making them more aware of their unconscious behaviors that can emulate bullying. The girls plan to lead by example and will work on making the world a better place by modeling appropriate behavior everywhere they go.

According the Girl Scout Research Institute (GSRI), 64% of Girl Scouts considering themselves leaders and Troop #1397 led by example as the girls modeled inclusiveness, appropriate behavior, and how to celebrate the differences that make us each unique.
