Volunteer Spotlight: Pam K., Lee County

Giving back is important to Lee County volunteer Pam K.,  which is why she got involved with Girls Scouts - NC Coastal Pines. As a Co-Leader and Fall Sale Area Manager, Pam is a leader in her community, which gives her the opportunity to give back and impact girls' lives.

With family and community a core foundation in Pam's life, she brings a sense of closeness and family to her Girl Scout sisters. Read more about Pam and how she fits Girl Scouting into her schedule and why it's so important to be a part of an organization that gives back.

How did you first get involved with Girl Scouts?

I met a wonderful leader, Kamiliah Davis, and decided to get my daughter involved and everything just meshed together from there.

What is the best part of being a Girl Scout Volunteer?

The best thing about being a volunteer is meeting new girls and their families, bonding with other people and teaching girls about sisterhood.

Why is volunteering with Girl Scouts important to you?

I have always wanted to be involved with Girl Scouts when I was a child but my mother wanted me to be more involved with my school work, therefore, there were no extra activities available for me.  Once I had my own daughters I introduced them to Girl Scouts and I have enjoyed it immensely.

How do you fit in volunteering with your schedule?

Finding time can be something that is hard to do but I always find a way. I make time because I know that I'm making a difference in a girl's life.

Join Pam and make a difference by becoming a volunteer. We'll work with your schedule and find new and interesting ways for you to help inspire the leaders of tomorrow!
