Hostelling International-USA Offers Girl Scouts Free Membership!

Girl Scouts save money on every trip as a Girl Scout member of HI-USA, and HI-USA is providing free memberships to Girl Scout troops and groups.

There are over 4,000 hostels in more than 60 countries, including nearly 100 right here in the U.S. Stay in a mountain chalet, medieval castle or exciting city location, they're all part of the HI network. The HI "blue triangle" is internationally recognized for safe, friendly, and affordable travel accommodations for girls.

As a Girl Scout member, girls can join programs at their hostels and local councils, from travel workshops and intercultural exchanges to recreational activities.

THINKING DAY 2009

Each year on February 22, girls participate in activities, games and projects with global themes to honor their sister Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in other countries.

The theme for World Thinking Day 2009 is girls worldwide say "we can stop the spread of AIDS, malaria and other diseases."

World Thinking Day is part of the WAGGGS Global Action Theme (GAT) based on the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which aim to improve the lives of the world's poorest people.
