PROGRAM OPPORTUNITIESAt Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines we know that the strongest component of Girl Scouting is at the troop level. We strive to offer council-sponsored events to supplement troop programs, but we don’t stop there. We also offer a wide variety of special program opportunities that leaders can take advantage of to supplement their troop programs.

Religious Recognitions for Girls
The religious awards programs provide opportunities for girls to reinforce the values they have learned in Girl Scouting, fulfill their promise “to serve God,” and explore their own faith. These programs are developed and administered by the religious groups themselves, but the earned awards may be worn on the Girl Scout uniform. There are programs for every grade level, with each providing hands-on, thought-provoking activities for participants. Each girl participant and facilitator receives a printed guide to walk them through the whole process. For more information:
- Come to a religious awards workshop (open to girls, troop leaders, and parents) on Tuesday, November 10th from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Raleigh Service Center. There will also be other opportunities to hear more throughout the year.
- Go to the P.R.A.Y. organization’s Web site, www.praypub.org, and look at the different options available for each denomination/faith.
