Volunteer RECOGNITIONS 2010-2011
Recognizing our adult volunteers is imperative to our success. Without our volunteers, we would be unable to serve our over 32,000 girls across 41 counties. Each year, volunteer are recognized on both the local and council level.
Council Level Recognition
At the GS-NCCP Annual Meeting each March, the council honors volunteers who have been nominated by their peers. Each nomination is accompanied by 3 letters of endorsements. This year, we are accepting online nominations and endorsements. To nominate an exceptional volunteer in your area, simply visit the application here. Once you have nominated someone, find 3 additional volunteers to write letters of endorsement. The endorsement form is found here. We will send the nomination packet on to the local area recognition coordinator who will review the packet; after review our council recognitions task group will select the appropriate award for the nominee. Awards will be presented at the annual meeting on March 5, 2011 in Fayetteville, NC.
Additional information on Council Level Awards can be found in the below document.

Local county/Area Recognitions
We encourage our volunteers to recognize each other year round. Traditionally, however, each spring our volunteers participate in recognition events, where they have an opportunity to celebrate in their successes. While each area often creates their own local recognitions, and creativity is encouraged, we do have traditional local level recognitions as well. With the help of your local recognition coordinator, you may nominate your peers for local level awards as well. Local level awards also require letters of endorsement.
