Change a Life; It’s Forever. Volunteer Today.

Wake 23 is seeking adult volunteers to lead girl ages 5-17 in exciting events, enriching programs, and endless opportunities. Adult women and men, age 18 and older, are invite to join Girl Scouts as volunteers. Girl Scout membership dues are $12 annually; training and local support are provided; and meetings and activities can fit your schedule.

Adults are encouraged to register as Girl Scout members and can serve in many volunteer positions available to both women and men. Our volunteers are inspiring, invaluable, and have a profound effect on everyone they help. There would be no Girl Scouting without them!

We have many needs in Area 23. Currently we are looking for the following volunteer positions:

Troop Leader (all levels)
The troop leader is responsible for providing a progressive, comprehensive program based on the Girl Scout Promise and Law that will build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.

Some of the troop leader’s duties include: working with the girls to complete activities and service projects; providing girls with an age appropriate program that encourages them to be an active citizen in their environment; and allowing the girls to be full members of their troop according to their age ability.

Training will be provided to all who are appointed to the Troop Leader position. Currently, we are seeking volunteers who are interested in leading a Brownie Girl Scout Troop in the Holly Springs area.

I’m interested in becoming a Wake 23 Girl Scout volunteer.

Wake 23 Highlights
Our Annual Sweetheart Dance was held on March 14, 2009. It was a successful event- and as always, one of the most popular events of the year. This year we had about 320 attendees (including girls and their Sweethearts). Below are a couple of pictures from the evening.

Thanks to all those who helps make the event so successful and special for the girls!

Volunteer Corner

We look forward to seeing you all soon!

We Want Your Opinion!
Each month, Madison and the Administrative Team put out the Wake 23 Communicator. We work hard to ensure useful information is included, as well people are thanked for their hard work. However, we would love some feedback. What would you like to see in the Communicator? What information would you find helpful? Would you like step by step SWAP instructions? Of ceremonies? Would it be helpful if their was age specific information in there? Please emailTiffany with any suggestions and ideas!
