RETAIL NEWS

Food Drive Still In Progress!  - The Council Shops in Fayetteville, Goldsboro and Raleigh are collecting canned goods from now until November 25.  You will receive a Food Drive patch for every 5 cans you bring to the shops.  Please help us feed our communities.  All goods collected will be given to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, and Second Harvest Food Bank.  Thanks for your participation.

Holiday Items Are In Stock!  - Our shops have a great selection of holiday gifts from jewelry to plush animals.  Holiday ornaments are going quickly and stock is limited. Snowflake socks, snowman pens and pretty pastel Girl Scout pencils are just some of the holiday merchandise we have for you.  Visit us soon to get the best selection.

Spotlight a Volunteer
– Is there someone in your area who has done something great?  Let us know so we can highlight their accomplishments in the weekly email.  Send entries with a brief description of what makes this volunteer great to Betsy Wharton at bwharton@nccoastalpines.org.

GS-NCCP Facilitators Needed! - We are looking for people with a passion for Girl Scouting to serve as council facilitators!  They need to be upbeat, enthusiastic and eager to promote the Girl Scout program.  We are in need of facilitators for Volunteer Essentials, Leadership Essentials, Outdoor Skills as well as council enrichment opportunities. If you are interested, would like to learn more and/or would like to apply to be a facilitator contact Robin Simonton at rsimonton@nccoastalpines.org or 919 600 6329.

November Adult Learning Opportunities
Babysitter Instructor Training – Registration Deadline – November 24
Date: December 5, 2009
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Cost:  $75.00
Location: Raleigh Service Center, Commons Room
Pre-requisites: completed FIT, must pass pre-course skills test that includes infant/child rescue breathing
Description: Teach girls to become responsible, competent babysitters for younger children and support the American Red Cross and Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines health and safety program by becoming a Babysitter's Training Instructor. For more information click here.
