Camp Mu-Sha-Ni Tents in Haiti

Last week, Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines (GS-NCCP) donated 16 surplus canvas tents from Girl Scout Camp Mu-Sha-Ni to the Rotary District 7710 Disaster Relief for Haiti project, in conjunction with Rotary International. The project’s mission is to continue delivering emergency supplies to rural areas of Haiti where first responder resources are not available. Other items shipped to Haiti included sterile gauze and pads, wound care items/medical supplies, water purification tablets or devices, and non-bulky blankets.
The tents are all canvas surplus 8’ X 6’ tents with wooden poles which rise to 6' at their peak. Fourteen of the tents have floors and two are without.
“All tents display the Girl Scout logo,” states GS-NCCP Property Executive John Braun. “The good that Girl Scouts do is displayed everywhere in the world – now even in Haiti.”
