IF YOU ONLY NEED TO SUBMIT AN ONLINE CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK, PLEASE SKIP TO STEP #3 BELOW.

Step #1—Become a Girl Scout Member

We welcome ALL adults to become members of Girl Scouts of the USA.  Membership demonstrates a dedication to our cause of helping to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.

If you are new to Girl Scouting (never been a registered member), you will need to create a log-in in the Council Online Registration Entry (C.O.R.E.) system.

If you have previously been a registered member, you may need to just create a log in for your C.O.R.E. account  and proceed with the payment process.

Step #2—Apply to be a Girl Scout Volunteer

Many people apply to be volunteer first, then register as a member.  Either order is acceptable, but membership is required in order for a criminal background check to be performed.

To apply to be a volunteer, first simply gather the items you’ll need: 3 personal references (non-family members) with their email addresses (f the reference doesn’t have an email address, provide the phone number only.), plus information about your interests and other volunteer experiences.  When you’re ready, click:  GO NOW
