The girls need You!
- Camp Mary Atkinson, Camp Graham, Camp Pretty Pond, and Camp Hardee
- Staff Dates start as early as June 1 and end on August 10
- General Qualifications – Must have the ability and desire to work with children in an outdoor setting as well as the ability to work with other adults as a team member. Previous camping experience and Girl Scout background helpful.
- The weekly salary ranges listed here are based on experience and current certifications and trainings. Staff members are paid for the week of staff orientation. Paychecks are distributed bi-monthly. Room and Board is included as a benefit to staff. All camps have a washer and dryer for the staff to use on their time off.
- Camp Graham is near Henderson on Kerr Lake. Camp Mary Atkinson is near Clayton in Johnston County. Camp Graham and Camp Mary Atkinson are located an hour from Raleigh. Camp Pretty Pond is located near Wilmington only 20 minutes from the beach. Camp Hardee is about 30 minutes outside of Greenville and is located on the Pamlico River.
Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director – Assists Camp Director to supervise staff and daily operations of camp. Qualifications: college degree or equivalent, previous camp and supervisory experience, and organizational skills. Minimum age: 21. (Salary range: Camp Director- $350-$450; Assistant Camp Director- $260- $325)
Business Manager - Keeps financial records of the daily business operations of the camp; runs Trading Post. Qualifications: previous booking experience, organizational skills, and current driver's license required. Minimum age: 21. ($220 -$ 300 a week)
Program Director - Plans and facilitates all-camp activities; works with Unit Leaders. Qualifications: college degree or equivalent desirable, supervisory skills. Minimum age: 18. ($240 - $280 a week)
Arts & Crafts Director – Plans and facilitates craft activities for units of up to 32 girls. Qualifications: college degree desirable, creativity in planning age- appropriate projects. Minimum age: 18. ($225- $275 a week)
Challenge Programming Director – Plans and facilitates challenge programming utilizing ground- based initiatives and Alpine Climbing Tower. Qualifications: college degree or equivalent desirable, supervisory skills, previous challenge programming experience. Minimum age: 21. ($240 - $300 a week)
Waterfront/Aquatics Director - Organizes and oversees all waterfront activities. Qualifications: WSI; Lifeguard training; first aid and CPR; supervisory skills; sailing and/or canoeing instructor desirable. Minimum age: 21. ($240 - 300 a week)
Waterfront Counselor/Lifeguard - Assists Waterfront Director. Supervises girls in waterfront activities. Has evening duties with campers. Qualifications: Lifeguard training; first aid and CPR; WSI, and sailing or canoeing experience helpful. Minimum age: 18. ($190 - $230 a week)
Unit Staff - Minimum age: 18
- Unit Leader - Plans and facilitates program for up to 32 girls; supervises staff in unit. Qualifications: college degree desirable, creativity in planning program, supervisory skills. ($225 - $275 a week)
- Assistant Unit Leader - Assists Unit Leader in facilitating Girl Scout program. Qualifications: leadership skills and knowledge of fun activities for children. ($185 - $230 a week)
CIT Director - Leads training program for girls ages 15 -17 who want to become camp counselors. Qualifications: previous camp counselor experience; Counselor-In-Training (CIT) experience desirable; leadership and supervisory skills. Minimum age: 21. ($225 - $260 a week)
Health Supervisor - Supervises the general health and safety of campers and staff. Qualifications: NC licensed physician, RN, EMT, or LPN, and current certification in first aid and CPR. Minimum age: 21. ($300 - $400 a week)
