Girl Scouts - NC Coastal Pines

Program Resources

At Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines, we know that the strongest component of Girl Scouting is at the troop level. We strive to offer council-sponsored events to supplement troop programs, but we don't stop there. We also offer a wide variety of special program opportunities that leaders can take advantage of to supplement their troop programs.

Our Own Council's Try-Its and Badges
Our Own Council's Try-Its, badges, and interest project patches are unique to Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines. Troop leaders, their girls, and event planners have created these around an event or activity they were interested in learning more about.

Religious Recognitions for Girls

The religious awards programs provide opportunities for girls to reinforce the values they have learned in Girl Scouting, fulfill their promise “to serve God,” and explore their own faith. These programs are developed and administered by the religious groups themselves, but the earned awards may be worn on the Girl Scout uniform. There are programs for every grade level, with each providing hands-on, thought-provoking activities for participants. Each girl participant and facilitator receives a printed guide to walk them through the whole process. For more information:

  • Come to a religious awards workshop (open to girls, troop leaders, and parents) on Friday, October 21, 2011, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Raleigh Service Center. There will also be other opportunities to hear more throughout the year.
  • Go to the P.R.A.Y. organization’s website, and look at the different options available for each denomination/faith.
  • Contact Deanna Welker, Program Director, at 919.600.6306 or 800.284.4475 ext. 3306.
