Superstar Destinations
Girls that sell 500+ boxes of cookies qualify for additional rewards called Superstar Destinations. Sisters can combine their sales to qualify for Superstar Destinations as well! Click here to view or download the 2012 Superstar Destinations Brochure and set your goal for the destinations of your choice!
500+ box sellers earn points based on the number of boxes sold, and can spend their points on any combination of Superstar Destinations of their choice. For example, a girl who sells 850 boxes of cookies would earn 5 points and could choose from cool Destinations like an annual pass (for a family of 4) to the North Carolina Aquarium and North Carolina Zoo, gift cards to movie theaters, and Cookie Dough. Sounds like fun, doesn't it?!
Girls can choose from many wonderful Superstar Destinations this year including:
- Cookie Dough (which can be used to pay for resident camp, purchases at camp and in the council shops, and council events)
- Admission tickets to places like Busch Gardens, Carowinds, Wet 'n Wild, Juliette Gordon Low house, and Great Wolf Lodge
- Admission passes for movie theaters, bowling centers, spas, museums, aquariums, and zoos
- Build-a-Bear, Best Buy, and Barnes & Noble gift cards
- Restaurant gift cards to The Cheesecake Factory, Olive Garden, and Red Robin
Please note that each qualified girl must submit a Superstar Destination request by March 30, 2012. Superstar Destinations are not fulfilled automatically. If we do not receive a request then we will not mail Superstar Destinations or Cookie Dough. Requests received after April 1st will be filled to the fullest extent possible, but the council cannot guarantee availability of Superstar Destinations for requests received after March 30th. If the council is unable to provide a requested Destination, Cookie Dough will be sent.
If you do not have Internet access or if you're unable to complete your request online, please contact the Product Sales Department by March 19, 2012 at either superstar@nccoastalpines.org or by calling 1-800-284-4475 extenstion 3343.
Frequently Asked Questions
How Does a Girl Qualify for Superstar Destinations? Girls that individually sell 500+ boxes, and sisters that together sell 500+ boxes of Girl Scout cookies, and pay their cookie bill in full by March 15, 2012, qualify for Superstar Destinations.
How Does It Work? Girls earn points based on the number of boxes sold (for example, a girl that sells between 700 and 799 boxes earns 4 points) and can then apply those points toward any combination of Superstar Destinations, including Cookie Dough.
Who Submits the Superstar Destinations Request and How? Girls should work with their parent or guardian to submit their Request, which is completed via a Web-based "survey" program. It only take a few minutes to submit a Request. (Troop Cookie Manager and Leaders are not responsible for submitting a Request for girls in their troop.) If a family does not have access to the Internet they can ask a friend or family member, their Troop Cookie Manager or Troop Leader to submit the Request on their behalf. If that option is not available, the parent or guardian can call the Product Sales Department at 1-800-284-4475 extension 3343 by March 19thst or prior and request a hard copy of the Request form.
What is the Deadline to Submit a Request? All 2012 Superstar Destinations Requests must be submitted by midnight on March 30, 2012. To ensure prompt delivery of Superstar Destinations tickets, the council cannot guarantee availability of any particular Superstar Destinations for Requests received after March 30th. Cookie Dough will be provided for late Requests that cannot otherwise be fulfilled.
How Will I Know My Request was Received? We will send an e-mail confirmation to the e-mail address provided in your Request. If you have not received a confirmation by April 13, 2012 please contact the Product Sales Department immediately. Sorry, we cannot confirm receipt of Requests for which an e-mail address is not provided.
When Can We Expect to Receive our Superstar Destinations? Superstar Destinations will be mailed by early June at the latest. If you have not received your Superstar Destinations, including Cookie Dough, by June 15, please contact the Product Sales Department.
Do Superstar Destinations Expire? Most tickets, passes and gift cards have a deadline or expiration date. Please refer to the Superstar Destinations Brochure for the expiration dates. Some Superstar Destinations do not have expiration dates.
What Happens if a Store or Destination Goes Out of Business Before I Can Use My Superstar Destinations? Unfortunately the council cannot be responsible for or replace unused Superstar Destinations if a store or Destination goes out of business.
Will Cookie Dough Automatically be Sent to Girls that Don't Submit a Request? No, a Request must be submitted, even by Girl Scouts that want to use all their points for Cookie Dough.
How Do I Find Out How Many Boxes My Daughter Sold? Please ask your Troop Cookie Manager or Leader. If he or she is unable to tell you, you can contact the council. The council will refer to the sales information entered by the troop in our online cookie management system called Snap.
Is There Specific Program for Sisters Participating in the Cookie Sale? Both individual girls and sisters are eligible for Superstar Destinations. There are no other programs within our council's cookie sale specifically for sisters.
What is Cookie Dough and How and When Can It Be Spent? Cookie Dough is like having a gift card within the council and can be used for council resident camp registration, trading post purchases, council-sponsored events and trips, and purchases at any of the council shops. NC Coastal Pines Cookie Dough can only be used in this council and is not transferable to other councils. 2012 Cookie Dough is valid until May 31, 2013.
What Should I Do If Want to Use Cookie Dough to pay for Camp Registration? The Superstar Destinations Request allows you to indicate how much (if any) Cookie Dough you want to apply to your camp registration fee. If you are already registered for camp the council will give the Cookie Dough directly to the Camp Registrar. If you are not registered for camp, the council will mail Cookie Dough to you so you can include it with your camp registration.
