Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED – Blended
This course is open to all registered adult members who are interested in obtaining Adult and Pediatric (Child and Infant) First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Participants who successfully pass this course will be certified by the American Red Cross for two years and may serve as a troop first-aider.
This course combines online work and instructor-led practice and skill testing. Participants must be able to complete a minimum of two and a half hours (2.5) of online course work (depending on computer and/or internet speed) prior to training and be able to print or email proof of completion to the instructor.
During the instructor-led portion, participants will participate in watch-then-practice' and hands-on training. Upon successful completion, participants will be able to recognize emergencies, care for injuries or illnesses and perform CPR until professional help arrives.
This course is recommended for individuals who have not taken this course previously but open to all.
Registration covers the cost of the certification; individuals may choose to purchase a participant manual at an additional cost of $9.00 when registering.
Projected Total Time: A minimum of 2 hours and 30 minutes online and 2 hours and 30 minutes in person (5 hours in total); depending on questions, skills testing, etc. some courses may run slightly longer.
