Girls Enhance Leadership Skills Through Engaging Hands-on, Educational Girl Scout Events

Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines helps prepare every G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader) ™ of different ages, interests, ethnicities, and skills for a lifetime of leadership through unique, life-changing programs and experiences. From earning one of the highest awards in Girl Scouting to starting a community donation drive, girls from across central and eastern North Carolina demonstrate grit and determination in achieving goals, leveraging creative skills when solving problems, building courageous spirit while embracing challenges, and leading the way with bravery.

As Girl Scouts, girls will get the full Girl Scout Leadership Experience, which complements school learning in fun, interactive, and age appropriate ways, allowing girls to develop a positive sense of self, build healthy relationships and strong values, engage in sustainable community service opportunities, and seek out and deal with challenges. Through a variety of programming and activities, Girl Scouts provides girls and families with a clear roadmap for success that focuses on four pillars: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), the outdoors, life skills, and entrepreneurship.

As the world’s most preeminent leadership development program for girls, Girl Scouts is poised to help girls break down gender barriers by providing leadership development programs and activities that help girls live healthy and happy lives. Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines stands strong with local communities to lift girls up and ensure they have accessible programs and services that empower them to be go-getters, innovators, risk-takers, and leaders.

At Girl Scouts, we believe in the power of every G.I.R.L. as she discovers who she is, what she cares about, and how she’ll leave her mark on the world. And we won’t rest until every G.I.R.L. is prepared to empower herself. This year girls have so many amazing opportunities through programming, trainings, and more that are designed to help girls build and strengthen their leadership skills while teaching them to embrace their inner go-getter, innovator, risk-taker, and leader.
