Camp Improvements adding to the fun this summer
01 Apr 2014
Our Camp Directors and Rangers are hard at work preparing for this summer's camp season. Grass is being mowed. Pools are being cleaned. Roads are being graded. Canoes and sailboats are being taken out of storage.
Outside of the exciting Tree Houses going in at Camp Graham, there are other upgrades to facilities being unveiled this year. Cabins at Camp Mary Atkinson and Camp Graham are getting new roofs. Camp Mu-Sha-Ni will soon see a Beaverpond trail, funded in part by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. The boathouse at Camp Mary Atkinson is being remolded for more effective storage of equipment.
And speaking of equipment...
New equipment has been purchased to make our Girl Scout Camps even more fun this summer. In addition to new archery equipment at all our camps, we have added paddleboards and a Gaga Ball Pit at both Camp Graham and Camp Mary Atkinson. Camp Graham also has a set of shiny new kayaks for girls to paddle around Kerr Lake, and the water trampoline has been replaced by a waterslide.
See you at Camp!
